Creativity Takes Flight: Community Arts Students Receive Supplies From Local Color Art
Thanks to the generosity of Local Color Art Studio and its founder, Meosha Thomas (Ms. Moe), our young artists now have the supplies they need to bring their imagination to life at home!
Ms. Moe, who also serves as the art teacher for Harmony’s after-school program, runs Local Color Art Studio in Chicago. Each year, her studio selects a school, organization, or program to receive custom art kits as part of its For the Love of Art campaign. This year, Harmony was the proud recipient!
In January and February, Ms. Moe led a fundraising effort, rallying support from City Motivators, Help Heal Veterans, and 13 generous donors who contributed both monetary and in-kind donations. Their support allowed students to receive custom duffle bags packed with art supplies and creative activities!
The first round of art kits was delivered this month, and the students were beyond grateful, as you can see by the smiles on their faces. We are deeply grateful to Ms. Moe, Local Color Art Studio, and all the donors who made this possible!
